Resistance And Endurance Training Improve Exercise Enjoyment And Happiness In Young Adults

An abundant number of studies have investigated the relationship between exercise and levels anxiety, stress, enjoyment, happiness. PURPOSE: This study compared happiness young adults that engage in three forms regular exercise: aerobic training, resistance yoga training. METHODS: Participants (N = 110, 25% male, 75% female, Mage 21.6, SD 2.1) answered a 12-item survey prompted them to report on preferred type exercise, happiness, overall enjoyment associated with their exercise. RESULTS: Only 3 participants reported engaging Yoga, therefore following results are reflective endurance Among sample, 64% selected training as Descriptive analysis indicated 44% enjoyed it 'a great deal.’ 20% ‘a participants, 81% felt increased after workout, while 60% workouts. 31% experienced feelings stress anxiety ‘often,’ 87% this group being less anxious stressed completing workout.
